Trio also made several of the Allied Radio units like the A-2516 receiver,
-2517 SSB transceiver, AX-190 receiver, and SX-190 receivers. After Tandy
"Radio Shack") bought Allied Radio (before they had to get rid of the
lectronic parts division due to restriction of trade charges from the Justice
epartment) the AX-190 and SX-190 were sold with the Radio Shack "Realistic"
rand name on the receivers. I have one of the relatively rare AX-190 receivers
ith the Realistic brand name on it. Also have owned in the past both the
X-190 and AX-190 with the Allied brand name on them.
Trio was in the process of developing a matching transmitter to the AX-190 when
andy bought out Allied. After a short period of time Tandy canceled the
atching transmitter project. The AX-190 has the connections on the back to
ransceive with the matching transmitter.

Trio made many of Lafayette's amateur and short wave receivers. Other then that,
here is no association between Lafayette Radio Electronics and Trio.
