CALLSIGN change notice. I have changed the Louisville National Weather Service callsign from KF4EKR to WX4NWS. This new callsign is in effect as of now. So if you hear WX4NWS running a weather net on the 146.70 in the Louisville area or coming to a repeater in your area, you will know that it is the Louisville NWS requesting information.
I would also like to thank all Amateur radio operators for there continued support in spotting severe weather conditions and relaying that very important information to the NWS, Just for your information on the equipment we run at the Lou.NWS. We have a dualband mobile, a two meter mobile, two hundred watt amplifier for two meters, a dual band antenna at 100 feet and stacked 13 element beams at 120 feet for two meters. Thanks also go out to all the repeater owners for letting the net control operators run nets on your machine. Without your support we could not get into areas of the state for weather reports.

                                                                                                    Thanks, Stu Kratz (wx4me)
                                                                                                     Skywarn Coordinator Lou.NWS
