Daviess County has an average of about 16" of snow with drifts of two to
three feet in some areas. Luckily we received no additional ice after the
initial freezing rain on Tuesday evening, and I have not heard any reports
of downed power lines because of icing. All non-essential vehicles have
been requested to stay off the highways by the Daviess County Sheriff.
There have been no requests for ARES assistance from EMA or other served
agencies.

One ARES member in Ohio County reported approximately six inches of snow
with some icing, but no report of power failure.

News reports on the Weather Channel indicated that Henderson County received
twenty-four inches of snowfall, and a state of emergency was declared last
evening. Henderson County EC KI4BUN reported that several motorists were
stranded on I-64 north of Evansville, IN and those people are being
transported to shelters in Vanderburgh Co. by the National Guard and
emergency personnel.

Additional information will be forwarded as received.
