[Kenwood] TS2000 on VHF and UHF

The recovered audio is clearer, the hiss span on low audio frequencies
on TS2000 so disturbing the received audio, while the hiss is
high-frequency on TS480, so the hear can discriminate more easily. Yes
You can play with the frequency response on the 2000, but it's not easy
and that shaping affect both noise and modulation. I think the 480 dsp
is superior than the 2000 dsp.
I think that behaviour is due to the 2-conversions rather than
4-conversion method. The more, the quartz filter of the 480 is better
"shaped" than the ceramic filters of the 2000.
I cannot say nothing about high-level-signals behaviour.
On my website www.ziomassimo.it I described some measurements about
480/2000 receiving comprison but, halas, in italian.
