[Kenwood] Kenwood SW-2000

Hello Kenwood List:

                          Anyone familiar with the Kenwood SW-2000?  Finally have 3 couplers and getting ready to put it in service in my shack...does it require 12V for all functions to operate correctly?  Before I apply 12V to it, somewhere (eham?) I've read the 12V in power jack is wired backwards with the center pin - and the shell + ?  Is that true?  Anything else I should know about the SW-2000?
