[Kenwood] 241 A,gone wild?????

Replace the lithium backup battery. It is soldered onto the back of the display
board. If the job is beyond your ability I suggest having some skilled tech
replace it for you so as not to accidentally damage the display board. I have
replaced dozens on these radios without fail except I got tired of paying $14 to
Kenwood's parts dealer for the prefabricated batteries so I took one to the Nicd
Lady and had her make some up. No she can supply them to anyone for about $3
each, same battery too. Note: keep the felt and plastic insulator sheets adhered
to the board underneath the battery.
