[Kenwood] 241 A,gone wild?????

Please, has anyone had a tm 241 a lose it's mind.  First scrambled display.
Replaced battery, reset vfo and processor.....worked 4 months. Now after
5 to 8 min of use, drops back to 144.000  works there, and vfo/men programs
OK. In another 5-6 mins relapses back to 144.000.....Now it's playing a tune.
Playing random beeps, about 8-10 a second...driving me 
crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
