Wally: Well that is not always correct. I have an Icom IC-718 (Great Radio) that will not do 60 meters unless you remove one little tiny diode. I do want to operate on 60 meters and am licensed to do so but in doing this mod to get 60 meters I get everything else. I have no intention to TX on SWL, MARS, and CB bands but with that mod you have too take the bad with the good.
