Ten-Tec 1208 (14MHz if)	 $119	
Downeast Microwave 50-28CK (28MHz if)   $295
Elecraft XV50 (28MHz if)   $349

The latter two have better NF etc - but the TT will get you on the air.
If you go the Downeast route, consider their TIB850CK - interface that makes
it easier to switch the 850 from transverter to regular hf operation.

Been a ham for 54 years and never listened to 6 meters!
