[Kenwood] TS-830M ...yes...M

Greetings.

A friend was looking through the service manual for his TS-830S (not the 
first he's had) and stumbled upon the description of the TS-830M.  The main 
difference seems to be that the M does AM in addition to SSB/CW.

Does anyone know where these units were sold and if they were limited or 
standard production?  ...or any other information on them, for that matter...

Also, if any of you have or know of one for sale, I think I have a buyer.
