[Kenwood] TS-820s VFO problem

Unless you are bald with no hair left to pull out don't even think about
removing the front panel.
On the right side of the VFO is a trap door. Remove the rf unit and you can
get it open and then clean the bearings. Make sure the rear of the radio is
tilted up a little and have a rag under the VFO to catch the overflow from
your spray cleaner. Clean away and let it dry then reassemble.

BUT!!!
I don't think that's your problem, it sounds more like a screw has come
loose and the VFO is not turning, period. Check that option first.
