[Kenwood] TS-820s VFO problem

Will try to keep my hair. 

One other thing. When cold, the rig does not change frequency with the
bandswitch. The display shows; 9.000 in the 1.8, 3.5, and 7.0 positions, 19.000 in the 14mhz position, 29.000 in the 21, 28, 28.5, 29 and 29.5mhz positions. After it has warmed up for a while, it displays frequencies
appropriate with each band the accuracy of which is verified with an
external signal generator.

Any suggestions where to start with the cold spray?
