[Kenwood] TS-830S age

Hi,
First off i would like to thank all that repied to my question about the kenwood 830S age and production years. But it sems no one knows for certain the answer. Here is what kenwood sent as a reply......

Dear Kenwood Customer:

Unfortunately we do not track serial number that far back the TS-830S was been out of production since 1981. 


According to them it went out of production about the same yeart most people starting buying them !!!
