[Kenwood] TS-830S age

According to my cheatsheet the TS830S came out in Oct 1980. It doesn't have 
discontinued dates.

Dear Kenwood Customer:

Unfortunately we do not track serial number that far back the TS-830S was 
been out of production since 1981.


According to them it went out of production about the same yeart most people 
starting buying them !!!
