[Kenwood] TS-430 Vs. Lightning Bolt

Status Report:

Just to bring everyone up-to-date.  The rig (a TS-430S) was blown up by a
lightning strike that came in through the PS-430 power supply.  Power
supply, transmitter and receiver were all taken out.

The receiver problem was a blown audio amp IC.

The power supply blew every transistor and vaporized several circuit board
traces.

The transmitter blew the final transistors and the driver transistors, as
well as the bias regulators and a handful of assorted resistors.

All the fixes were straight-forward except the driver transistors.  The
Kenwood schematic claims the parts are 2SC2509's.  Unfortunately Toshiba
seems to have made different configurations of this transistor without
changing the part number.  This means that if you order the parts from
anyone but Kenwood then you might not get the correct configuration.

Kenwood wanted far too much $ for the parts, so I substituted a matched pair
of 2SC3133's (less than $20 for the pair from RF Parts).

The 2SC3133's seem to be working so far (working means I have power out).
Now I need to do an on-the-air check.  I hope to have some time this
evening.  So... If anyone out there wants to tell me how good/bad/distorted
my audio sounds, I will be between 14.340 and 14.350 this evening starting
around 2330Z
