[Kenwood] TS-930S: No Display or Audio

Hello Kenwood Gang:

Just had a TS-930S/AT returned that I sold from a local estate, it worked for 
a few days, then lost the display and audio output.

And yes, I know this has probably been discussed adnauseam, but I didn't pay 
attention before and take notes (as I probably should have).

Any hints ??  i.e., PLL, battery, etc ??  And, how do I acccess the archival 
discussion on these topics ??
