You missed what I said about vintage rigs. Mics don't cause splatter etc.
Rigs can. Older transmitters can, and many do. Put ANY great broadcast mic
together with a rig capable of broadcast quality output and that - in ham
radio - can invite trouble. That is the simplest scenario. I won't get
into overdriving modern rigs and what that causes. What you know about
what officially transpires in the United States I am not sure, but you say
these citations or some of them are not valid. Are you sure? I don't keep
track. I only know what I read, off an ARRL website that elected to post
the information, I might add. There is, IMO, nothing wrong with Heil
microphones per se.
I'm done. What I originally said has been modified over time. Let the
debate go on. I THOUGHT I bowed out of this. Now I HAVE.
