[Kenwood] FRIEND NEEDS HELP

GOOD MORNING, I have a friend who is having trouble with his Kenwood
TM-733A Dual Bander.

Rig had been working fine until last week when he turned on everything
went weird on him, When turned on it is stuck in what he calls the power
on cycle. The only thing displayed on the screen is -ON- and the back
ground lighting of course.

None of function buttons work, numerous resets have been tried, and
nothing happens when the mic keyed. He took the covers of looking for
any physical problem or something broken and all looked OK.

Any owners of a TM 733A ever have this problem or any one know of  such
a problem and how to fix it?. He wants to check everything before
shipping it off to be fixed. I told him I'd check the reflector to see
if anyone could help. (internal memory battery voltage checked good)

So any info, suggestions, ideas or a possible known fix would really be
appreciated. Thanks gang I know there is a lot Kenwood talent on this
reflector so I hope we can help him, 73 Mac
