[Kenwood] TS-940 BFO Leakage

 Glad to see I'm not by myself with this problem (well not really glad).
I really did'nt have any idea why I was always hearing a tone in the
background...usually on a quiet band like 10 or 15 meters. I bought my
'940S around Dec. '85 s/n 6040053 and had the problem from the git-go. I
mostly just tuned it out but lately run the pitch at a low tone (around
3). I can tune it out (using the brain filter) better that way. So far
it has stayed around the same level. Doubt if I'll do anything about
it....especially if you gotta stick a soldering iron in it. Anyway, I'm
used to it now. Don't fret, after 15 or more years you won't even notice
