[Kenwood] Kenwood TS-570D(G)

Morning gang,

My prob may not be with my 570 at all, so thought I'd submit this to the 
best troubleshooters on planet earth.

I had just worked a UA0 on cw and had a SH9 come back to me.  But when I 
keyed the rig, it "bonged" off completely, going completely dead.

I waited for a few minutes and turned the Astron RS-35M power supply 
back on, depressed the POWER pushbutton on the 570, and the transceiver 
came merrily back to life, for receiving that is.

I tapped the key with a single dot, and the 570 immediately went dead 
again.  But this time I noticed that the power supply also went dead and 
watched as the voltmeter slowly went to zero.

My first thought was that the power supply was the culprit and that it 
would furnish enough current for the receiver to work but rebelled when 
asked to furnish enough juice for transmit.

Am I just whistling in the dark or is this the likely problem?  If so, 
what do I need to suspect in the power supply?

I guess that SH9 isn't still on, so there's no hurry, but any help you 
can provide will surely be appreciated!  *smile*
