Listen up all contesters!

The Kansas City DX Club is going to make an entry into the CQ WPX CW =
contest this weekend. If you are going to play or compete, it is =
important that you:
  1.. Enter the contest and be as involved as you want to. The rule is =
"to have fun"
  2.. Submit your logs to CQ WPX per the instructions in the contest =
rules
  3.. When it comes to "club affiliation" put in "KANSAS CITY DX CLUB" =
do not abbreviate...the folks at CQ may get confused
  4.. Send me a copy of the summary sheet...you submit the logs directly =
to CQ
We are planning to issue awards to those members that are listed in CQ =
Magazine and have sent me a copy of the summary sheet. We are looking =
into the ability to have some type of trophy to give the top contester =
in the Kansas City DX Club to be presented next spring before Dayton.

There has been a lot of talk recently about whether the KCDXC is a =
contest club of DX club. In my opinion the club is a lot of things to a =
lot of people. We have members that have never worked any DX and some =
that are on the honor role. Some folks are very active and others are =
seldom on the air. Some love to contest, some love to chase DX but never =
contest. Some only contest and hardly ever turn on the radio between =
contests and others would never want to get involved.

If you plan to play this weekend, please submit your logs to CQ and send =
me a copy of your summary sheet. If you want to submit using another =
club it is OK but you will not qualify for the KCDXC club awards. These =
KCDXC contesters will be well rewarded...Pres. Lee says that we have =
plenty of money to spend on the awards...just kidding.
