> The Kansas City DX Club is going to make an entry into the CQ WPX CW
contest this weekend. If you are going to play or compete, it is important
that you:
> 1.. Enter the contest and be as involved as you want to. The rule is "to
have fun"
> 2.. Submit your logs to CQ WPX per the instructions in the contest rules
> 3.. When it comes to "club affiliation" put in "KANSAS CITY DX CLUB" do
not abbreviate...the folks at CQ may get confused
> 4.. Send me a copy of the summary sheet...you submit the logs directly
to CQ
> We are planning to issue awards to those members that are listed in CQ
Magazine and have sent me a copy of the summary sheet. We are looking into
the ability to have some type of trophy to give the top contester in the
Kansas City DX Club to be presented next spring before Dayton.

> There has been a lot of talk recently about whether the KCDXC is a contest
club of DX club. In my opinion the club is a lot of things to a lot of
people. We have members that have never worked any DX and some that are on
the honor role. Some folks are very active and others are seldom on the air.
Some love to contest, some love to chase DX but never contest. Some only
contest and hardly ever turn on the radio between contests and others would
never want to get involved.

> If you plan to play this weekend, please submit your logs to CQ and send
me a copy of your summary sheet. If you want to submit using another club it
is OK but you will not qualify for the KCDXC club awards. These KCDXC
contesters will be well rewarded...Pres. Lee says that we have plenty of
money to spend on the awards...just kidding.
>
> Looking forward to working you all and above all, have fun!
