Absolutely, I am aboard with hosting a TIARA get-together. While
Desmond lives on the Island we don't live far away. We still spend a
lot of time out there as well as both my wife and I are also active
with the TI Yacht Club.
We can do a group thing, that would be fine or if anyone wants to drop
by the bay area for a visit we would enjoy hosting them however we
can.
A vodka distillery AND a winery in the Navy Brig, "Who would'a
Thought!"

| I'm a Past Commodore at TIYC and I think Pete WA6UDU is still on the
board. We would be delighted to put something together.
|
| I'm not sure what's going to happen to Fleet Week out here this year
with no Blue Angels, but if you want be able to see anything that's
left on the island, you need to come soon. You missed the demolition
of the second shack and its foundation a few years ago, but there are
still many things to see out here. There's a 40-foot nude woman
(sculpted in mesh steel) right in from of the old BOQ's, A pizza joint
running out of the Nimitz Center. A bar in the former yacht club
building (the yacht club moved next door). Wine tasting in the old
Reserve Center building. We also have several more wineries in
different places and even a distillery doing business out of the Brig!
|
| Come see it.
