the answer is.. "It Depends" .  I am not an expert in this but I know that there are critical dimensions regarding spacing and interaction. They have to do with boom length and horizontal separation .. the total length can not be resonant.  Again I am not the correct one to ask.. you really need to talk to someone like W3LPL or one of the really big gun DXers to answer that question.. they should know the correct geometry and the critical calculations that need to be made.

  I’m thinking of putting two 3-element Hy-Gain Long Johns, one 15 meter and one 10 meter, on the same mast.  And then later, as we near the solar minimum, switching out the 10 meter and installing a 20 meter Long John. 

Just thinking.  I still have Willie Mike’s A4S to refurbish.  Or, maybe pick up a Moseley TA-63-N that covers 20 thru 6..
