Carroll County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes, 10 November 2008

Secretary Steve, N3SB called the meeting to order at 7:35 PM. Fourteen members
and three guests were present.

Evening Presentation:

Rich Mitchell N3III reprised his Arduino presentation that he gave two weeks
prior at the Mason-Dixon Hamfest.

Announcements:

The next CCARC meeting will be the Holiday Banquet on Sunday December 7th 5:00
PM at the VFW Hall in Westminster.

The next BoD meeting will be on Wednesday November 19th, 7:30 PM at the FTC.

>From the mailbag:

The club’s mail was briefly reviewed.

Secretary’s Report:

Steve N3SB published the secretary’s report from last month’s meeting to the
club’s email reflector. The report was accepted by the membership present.

Treasurer’s Report:

Tony KF3AK provided the treasurer’s report, detailing current balances, income,
and expenses. The report was accepted by the membership present.

Board of Directors Report:

The BoD report was published to the reflector. There were no questions about the
minutes.

Committee Reports:

Repeater – The repeater has been behaving – it’s clock has been adjusted. The
BBS has also been behaving.

DCS – The next meeting on the Fourth Monday in November.

Station Committee – No report.

Training & Education Committee – Committee still open.

QSL Bureau – Mike N3VOP reported that the bureau is operating as normal. Mike
was waiting for about 20 more cards to compete a full pound, but will now send
out the cards he has.

TEC Committee – Rich N3III reported that a Saturday workshop is being planned.
The chosen date will be announced on the reflector.

ARES / RACES – The next RACES Commex will be on Tuesday November 18th (one week
late) at the EOC. There will be no RACES Commex in December.

Old Business:

None.

New Business:

Jack Kolb has offered the club a complete set of hand tools. Jack will mark all
of them so that they can be identified, and bring them out to the club.

Mike N3VOP asked if the club will be entering into Sweepstakes. So far no
members have stepped forward to lead the event.

Steve N3SB adjourned the meeting at approximately 9:12 PM.
