I would not call my self an expert on this but that sure sounds like
it's defective, can you call the manufacturer or email them? Perhaps it
is something simple, but I've never heard a TNC do that.

Folks-
I got my TNC-Radio cable from BuxComm today.
I hooked it up, and when I tell my TNC to connect, it keys the mike,
and transmits a tone. (Very loud)
That's it. In order to kill the tone, I must power off the TNC.
I can't find anything about this behavior in the manual.
Any ideas???
