Carroll County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes, 14 August 2006

President John Hart, K3KWO, called the meeting to order at 7:40 PM. Fifteen 
members and 3 guests were present.

Presentation:

A presentation on Packet Radio was made by Steve N3SB.

Announcements:

The next Board of Directors meeting will be held on Wednesday 23 August, 
7:30 PM at the Fire Training Center. All members are welcome to attend.

The next club meeting is on Monday September 11, at the FTC

The Mason-Dixon Hamfest is coming up on October 29.

Tailgate Fest Results: Bill W3STG briefed the club on the results of the 
Tail Gate Fest. The event was run as a NIMS compliant exercise. The weather 
was good, and the event was well attended.

The DCS Committee Meeting will be held on Monday August 28, 7:30 PM at the FTC

The club mail was reviewed by the President.

Secretary's Report:

The secretary's report was published to the club's email reflector. The 
report was accepted by the membership present

Treasurer's Report:

The treasurer's was not available at the time of the meeting.

Committee Reports:

The station committee will be meeting at the FTC on Wednesday August 16, 
6:30 PM.

General Comments:

Mike N3VOP mentioned that the signal received from the 6m repeater seems to 
be down a bit. Stations on the fringe of the repeater seem to be having 
trouble accessing the repeater.

Closing notes:

The door prize for this evening was won by Bill W3STG. Bill won a flashlight.

President Hart adjourned the meeting at 9:20 PM.
