Carroll County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes, 11 September 2006

President John Hart, K3KWO, called the meeting to order at 7:34 PM. 
Eighteen members and 2 guests were present.

Presentation:

Rich N3III made a presentation on "NVIS and the Maryland-DC QSO Party".

Announcements:

The next Board of Directors meeting will be held on Wednesday 20 September, 
7:30 PM at the Fire Training Center. All members are welcome to attend.

The next club meeting is on Monday October 9, at the FTC

The Mason-Dixon Hamfest is coming up on October 29. If you are going to any 
hamfests within the next month and a half, please take fliers with you and 
distribute.

Donna Brosenne passed her technician's test. It was observed by Bill W3STG 
that she completed her test in a very short period of time  and got 100% to 
boot!

 From the mailbag:

No club mail was available for review.

Secretary's Report:

Steve N3SB published the secretary's report to the club's email reflector. 
The report was accepted by the membership present.

Treasurer's Report:

Bill W3STG briefed the treasurer's report for the past two months. Bill 
also provided details about the Tailgate-fest. The report was accepted by 
the membership present.

Board of Directors Report:

John K3KWO briefed the club on the highlights from the August Board of 
Directors Meeting.

Committee Reports:

Chuck N3TOT announced that the DCS Committee will meet on Monday 
25-September, 7:30 PM at the FTC.

Field Day  John W3JJH summarized this years' Field Day effort. Pictures are 
available for review at www.k3pzn.org.

Jamboree on the Air  John W3JJH announced the JOTA coming up on the weekend 
of October 21-22.
