Regarding item 4, to claim a power multiplier of 5 the batteries can't
be charged from the generator. I have heard a couple people comment
that the batteries can be charged by the generator as long as it is not
a floating charge (being charged while in use). Rule 6.9 does not
appear to allow this:
6.9. Batteries may be charged while in use. Except for Class D stations,
the batteries must be charged from a power source other than commercial
power mains. To claim the power multiplier of five, the batteries must
be charged from something other than a motor driven generator or
commercial mains.

Subject: [K3PZN-List] Field Day 2006
There will be an on-the-air meeting of the Field Day Committee on the
145.41
repeater following the CARET net on Tuesday, 20 June. All committee
members
should check in. You're a committee member if your name and call sign
appear
on the org chart shown on www.k3pzn.org.
Topics to be discussed:
1. We now have one HF station for each mode; will there be others?
2. Will we have a GOTA station?
3. When can we schedule the VHF/UHF phone push (using HTs on 2 m, 222
MHz, 450
MHz, and 23 cm) for the 100 points/per station bonus points?
4. What generator or other means will be available to recharge
batteries?
5. How will the potluck picnic be handled, what's for breakfast on
Sunday?
6. Who will copy the W1AW bulletin? Will anyone initiate NTS traffic?
7. Will we have any demo modes?
8. Will anyone try for satellite QSOs?
