Greetings all,

I wish that I could have attended the meeting, but had a family
conflict. I can help in the morning until around 1PM or so. I would like
to pay for a table to sell some of my stuff, but I would also like to
help with the event. Is there something that I could do inside that
would allow me to stay close to my table and help with the event?? My
son will be watching my table so I don't have to be right there.
Maybe I could help Joe at the Talkin/Club table??

Doug Kearney,
N5LBJ

Table pre-sales:
A vendor go-get list has been started. The committee spent some time
discussing how to get these, and other indoor vendors booked. I'll
complete the list, divide it into smaller pieces, and pass them out to
the committee so that the vendors can be contacted via phone, fax, or
email.

General status:

The committe also compared its progress relative to the master
checklist. All critical items have been completed, so nothing short of
having terrible weather can stop the hamfest from occurring. Flyer
distribution and advertising have been taken to new extremes this year,
so this hamfest could easily turn out being one of the best (just look
what happened to the
Tailgate-Fest!)

Call for help:
Please have a look at the staffing gaps we still have. These positions
need to be filled in order for our hamfest to be successful. It's not
too early to volunteer, get up to speed on what's needed, and sit in on
the final planning sessions we'll be scheduling during the countdown to
Hamfest Day, October 27.

73; Steve, N3SB
