Over the years, I've belonged to different clubs in various parts of the country and all of them had some sort of field day effort.  None were ever as well "facilitated" as Gamber.  All were in either fields or parks...some even got visitors and guest operators from people driving by and wondering what the heck we were doing.  Anyway, the members generally provided the shelters, usually tents.  In fact, I have a 3-room tent (yes, 3 rooms) that the club can use for field day.  (I need to check it and make sure it is in good condition, first.) The biggest problem was always bathrooms...   Just a thought. 

I'm also interested in being an HF SSB op and will sign up as soon as my job lets me know that I have both days of the weekend off.  I promise to stay off the front page of the Carroll County Times this year :)
