[K3CAL] Inventory List and Board Agenda

Hello everyone,

First, this month's Board Meeting on March 7th 2024 at 6:30 pm will follow this agenda.

1) Discussion of CARA finance changes and announcement letter for sending to members. (review attached document)
2) Appointment of Nominating committee members.
3) Audit committee report
4) NVIS Day and Field Day
5) Inventory List Review. (review attached copy).

Second, I have spoken to all of you by phone or in person with in the last 24 hours. It is understood that the inventory list must go out to CARA members as soon as possible, once it is ready. The list was not complete before last month's meeting. It has been completed since then. Now that the list is complete, it is still not ready  for distribution. It will not be until the Board reviews the 202 items on the list and marks the items that CARA wishes to keep for events such as field day. This is what we will do during Thursday's meeting.

Lastly, when the subject of inventory last came up. It was clearly understood that due to the amount of the equipment on hand, the board does not have the time to sort through and test each item before offering them to CARA members. As a result it was decided that when available and appropriate, equipment already on the inventory list would be brought to CARA meetings for testing/operational demonstration. Afterword the equipment would be made available for adoption by those in attendance. This was a successful approach at the February meeting. It should continue to be so at future meetings.

Please take some time to review the attached Inventory list prior to the meeting. This will make things go faster. Also if you have any questions or comments to this email. Please hit the "REPLY ALL" button. This will ensure that ALL Board members receive your response eliminating a lot of confusion.
