Thanks for the suggestions for the repeater. It is still a work in progress, and feedback is necessary to get it right.
Suggestions received from Ed / KB6NCO:
The Morse ID is too loud. It will be "toned down" to a more pleasant level.
The PL tone frequency will be added to the ID announcements.
The club repeater have not used a courtesy tone in the past. Maybe we should add one when the repeaters are linked to indicate the linked status?
The PL tone is supposed to be enabled on transmit. When testing on the bench, the tone was enabled and the deviation level set to specs. We will check it out. (I don't normally use PL on receive.)
The report at the meeting from Dave / N3PPH of a low tone while using receive PL will be investigated. More information was heard this morning on the repeater.
Dave's question about control receivers was not answered at the meeting because several options are being investigated.
