[K3CAL] In response to the open letter to the board nastiness going on

Honestly, Bob, the thing that bothers me the most is that, as Dave
eluded to in one of his messages, we used to be friends. I also
respected you as the President when I first joined the club. I felt
privileged to be voted in as Vice President for the calendar year 2015
and hoped to do a good job.

The very first thing you told me when I took office was that we never
air our dirty laundry to outside organizations. You quoted the Danny
Kincade (sp?) incident and told me about the damage that was done in the
relationship between the County and CARA. You said a lot of work went
into patching up that relationship and that no matter what we should
keep our politics inside and not involve the County or other
organizations. I believed that and felt it was a good rule to have. I
was not around for that particular incident but could imagine the damage
that was done to CARA's reputation.

Imagine my shock and dismay when you, yourself, broke that rule when you
sent out a scathing email to the club, the Calvert Emergency Management
Director, the ARRL MDC Section Manager, and the ARRL MDC Section
Emergency Coordinator
(http://mailman.qth.net/pipermail/k3cal/2016-February/003263.html). Not
only was the email laden with misrepresentations of the facts, it was
sent well outside the borders of the club, specifically to an officer of
the County.

I'm not sure how you can balance this type of action with wanting the
best for the club.

Please take a breath, write your grievances, with citations, down and
present them at the next Board meeting. That will be the only way we
can work through these issues as the back and forth on the mailing list
is not helpful and won't end up with any constructive change.

73,
Eric
