For those that do not know I had to step down as president as I have 
health issues, new president as of 1/1/16.
As some of you know the club has been very secretive since the beginning 
of the year with secret meetings and a short notice board meeting. The 
first board meeting which I did attend, was to make sure that Ed KC3EN 
and Eric WG3K had total control of the club's repeater despite there 
being a standing repeater committee. At this meeting I was also informed 
they consider Don KR3A too old to be the repeater trustee and he needs 
to be replaced, if any of you let this happen, shame on you. After this 
meeting they evidently decided I no longer should be involved and and 
excluded me from some board emails, this is spelled out in our by-laws, 
the past president at his choosing is a board member without voting 
privileges. The problem stems from the current president and 
vice-president chasing their egos with no respect for CARA.
Peter KB3SXB setup a meeting at the EOC which was to help the people in 
the south part of the county have more input and help from the county in 
an emergency, he worked hard on this, congratulations Peter, this was 
twisted into a session of subtle bashing the current RACES officer Bill 
N3XMZ by the vice-president so he could have that job too.
I have been personally attacked by the president and told I did nothing 
but run CARA into the ground. I had offered to help the new president 
with the transition into office but was told I don't possess the mental 
capacity for that. Those that attended the board meetings last year know 
that Eric stopped showing up or participating and even though I arranged 
the meeting to allow the incoming president to attend he did not. If it 
was only me I might just be quiet and disappear but they are also 
attacking my predecessor Dave. FYI Dave and I together have been 
licensed over 50 years, your president got his license less than 3 years 
ago, but he let us know he knows more than us.
You have a meeting tomorrow and I would suggest that if you want to keep 
a viable ham club in Calvert you should attend the meeting and let your 
voice be heard. If not, you will let two selfish egomaniacs kill your 
club and pocket your assets. I am sorry I have to write this but too 
much hard work has gone into bringing the club back, please don't let it 
be destroyed.
To Al, Jim and Marty I apologize for this, you all know me and should 
know this is not for my personal gratification, I am including you as I 
do not want you to be blindsided by Eric.
