I've been enjoying my NRD 545 for about 18 months and even with my limited 
antenna array I Have logged stations from every continent except Antarctica. My 
only adverse comment on the 545 is the need for a good external speaker or 
headphones to get the best from the set as the internal speaker limits the 
audible signals.

With the CHE-199 wide band converter fitted the NRD 545 can seem a bit deaf 
at first, I found the solution was a bit of antenna adjustment (replacement) 
and positioning cured the problem.

The NRD 545 might be expensive but the value for money is there.
