Hello all...
 
I need some help with a problem that has me frustrated...
 
I have a Ranger 1 that works great on all bands, except 80. No signal on 80.  Here is what I know:
It works on 80  with an 80 meter crystal...
I have plenty of buffer signal on 80.
The VFO works fine on 160 and transmits 
The wiring from the VFO to the ceramic switch appears OK
 
In other words, I think the VFO must be OK, since it works on 160 (and the VFO usage on 80 comes from 160). But the signal never makes it to the rest of the unit.
 
Is there something that is unique to only 80 meters that someone might direct me to check?
