[Johnson] Speed X bug help

Does anyone have one of these they can compare?
Apparently, the main lever doesn't stay in its
"default" position (that is, the rest position when
the bug is not in use). It tends to "drift" to the dot
making side. I sometimes have to push the lever back
into the neutral position again. Something tells me
that there is a return spring for the unit that is
missing. Can anyone give me an overhead details
picture of their but so I can figure out what is
supposed to go where (with regards to a possible
