I'm reluctant to get into this since it really belongs on the Hammarlund 
reflector, but how about the HQ-129X and HQ-140X?  Neither of these two 
"X" suffix receivers has provision for fixed crystal frequency 
operation.  Doesn't the X suffix indicate "crystal filter"...at least 
for these receivers?
