I run the Xenon 3B28s for 866 applications and 4B32s in place of 872s.
They work excellent, don't change the overall voltages at start up or
otherwise, and keep the rig 'all tube' as designed. The color isn't as
purty as the mercury vapors but they don't suffer the arc-over issues,
either.
I will add though, that Gary is an excellent individual to deal with,
very honest and easy to work with on anything. I've purchased several
items from him over the years from Halli knobs to a Blue Racer bug to
complete radios. Never a problem, fair prices, and always happy with
the deal. So if anyone is interested in thse SS sticks, don't delay.
Grab 'em.
Gary also rewinds transformers, reactors, and chokes for most gear.
