According to the state's web site, SB109 survived its committee hearing and 
got a "Do Pass" recommendation to the full Senate.

I've already contacted my state senator about this and got a canned reply. 
She sits on this committee, so I'm assuming she's already made up her mind, 
though I don't know how she voted at the committee hearing. I'm thinking 
about contacting my state representative to give him a heads-up about 
SB109. Assuming SB109 passes in the Senate, someone will have to introduce 
this in the House in order for it to move forward.
