Jim, Thanks again for your continuing help to us in RAMS to make the
ILQP what it is.

Here is my input:

__1_ Loyalty to a state, club or individuals participating

___ Likelihood of winning a category

___ Tangible rewards provided by sponsor (trophies, plaques,
certificates, other)

___ Tangible rewards available based on level of achievement (T-shirts,
coffee mugs that can be purchased)

__5_ Convenient and enjoyable way to spend part of a weekend Used to
enjoy mobiling in tests but
have not been able to do so for several years. Will leave
that to the younger guys. Now just happy
to be able to do the portable bit.

__2_ Length of contest

__4_ Rules format Am satisfied with most of the rules. ( I should
be since most of the original version
was my idea back in the sixties. Especially proud of
the short duration which we were the first
to use. My wife takes the credit for this so I could
get home from church in time to begin playing.
Am beginning to lean toward accepting suggestions of some who would give
some kind of credit for counties worked from as
mobiles. Main problem is the rules are so bulky
already.
Also would like to resolve the excessive scoring by
jumping from band to band between locals to
take advantage of the 8-qso bonuses.

__3_ Opportunity to try out my mobile/portable station and test my
skills

___ OTHER: We need to do something about log submissions by
electronic means. We received so many logs in
various formats and most if not all had NO SUMMARY SHEETS, dupe
sheets, indication of new multipliers, etc. as
required by the rules. This caused the
committee much work that should have been done by the sender. As a
result, the scoring was
delayed by weeks. The committee was tempted to classify many as check
logs but we decided not to but I hope the problem
can be resolved this year.
