Aw, Chuck...Chuck...CHUCK!!! You need to beat the bushes and get more guys
on from your area :)
Also, while the guys in Chicago are moving locals to six meters, you can
hunt down another mobile for an extra mult or two. I'll bet you make more
points by your maneuver than they do by theirs.
I wound up with 8 mults for 8-QSO counties and narrowly missed a few others.
It made about a 9% increase in my score. It would be interesting to
calculate this for the various mobiles/portable/fixed stations.
The Cook/Lake/DuPage bunch needs some incentive to get on the air, lest
they get a complex from not being "rare".... :) I personally think it's a
sacrifice the rest of us can afford. Plus it gives the log-checkers another
way to earn their pay. He He (I'm KIDDING, Joe :) )
