Just sitting here looking at my log.....tried to pass as many IL stations as
possible to gain the 8 per co mults. I did ok, had 7 of those, but...
If X9XXX lives in Lake, Cook, or Dupage Co., I really think he has atvantage
by being able pass alot of guys thru 8 bands. Just think, pass 1 guy, both
modes, 2-160. Thats 2 easy extra mults. Do that a few times, & there is NO
way someone in a less populated area came even come close to compete. I
STRONGLY think the RAMS folks need to address this for 2003.
This dawned on me a couple years ago, but just really thought about it alot
today. So far, I don't think anyone has taken advantage of these free mults
from up north, but it is possible, in the future, that it can happen. There
are a hams here in St.clair co that I can run thru 2-160, so don't get the
idea that I feel I'm getting the raw end of the deal. I'm thinking more about
the hams in counties that only have a handful of active guys in their county,
& the surrounding ones.
FANTASTIC JOB BY THE MOBILES!!!! You folks make this a a contest that could
be very boring, into one that is a BLAST!!! Way to go, guys!
