I have an Atrson RM-75 that has a current limit pot and a voltage pot. If
the pots get dirty, the supply will shut down when the current draw reaches
the point where the dirty pot senses current drawl beyond that point. By
working the pot or by cleaning it, the problem goes away. Not technical...
just a simple dirty pot issue.
If not using a supply with pots on the output, then disregard my
suggestion.
