I got one of these marked LD-C101 from one of the sources on
ebay.
Seems to be supported by Linux, and they provide a Windows
driver,
but no driver for MacOSX.
There are drivers for Mac. Do a Google for "Prolific Drivers".
There's a rumor going around that Prolific changed some code so the latest driver will not with counterfeit chips.
Went out and got "fresh" drivers for a 2010 Mini and a fresh load of Maverick , what would not work. traded cables, maybe to "real Prolific" and all works. these are marked "Icom CIV".
A 2006 iMac/Snow Leopard/ old drivers, works with all the cables. (?). Rumlog/Icoms.
