I'm not superstitious, but I hate to say this out loud.  I've never had 
a problem with UPS or Fed X...that I can remember. I've had the 
occasional problem with shippers and poor packing though.  Now if 
everything came packed like my Emtron DX-2sp, Icom 756 Pro, and  Yaesu 
FTDX5000MP they'd have to try to damage something on purpose.

OTOH I have had some major problems with some freight companies 
including theft and customs charging a shipping company duty on duty 
free items (Well over $200 worth.  I think it was $260 IIRC when it was 
clearly marked "Amateur Radio equipment, Duty Free" on the Bill of Lading.
