Certainly you do not want CI-V with 731 ON as that sets the data to 4
bit data, like the old IC-735 was. Much different than the data the 756
pro or Pro 3 generally use.
You have access to any other program to test with? Move the rig to one
of the other computers and interface to see if the trouble travels with
the rig?
Have to access to a scope, Put it across the CI-V jack and give the dial
a spin you should see " data" coming from the jack with transceive enabled.
You may also try an analog meter and when spinning the dial the meter
will move about. Since its TTL data it will be 0 to + 5 volts.
its possible the CI-V port inside of the 756Pro is faulty But i would
exhaust everything else first.
