Hi Ken, I wonder what type of interface you are using?? Is it a USB type??

I have found that in the Writelog.ini file that I have to remover the two stop
bits after the baudrate:

Com4:=9600,n,8,2 -- remover the 2 but leave the comma.

This may not be the solution for you, but at least it is something easy to try.

Subject: [ICOM] 756pro remote

Hi
For some reason I am not able to get the 756pro to interface with my
computer with the Writelog contest program. Two other 756pro3s are connected
to separate computers with no problems.

The CI-V is installed and the band map is populated on the computer, but in
WL the box at the lower left shows NO RIG. I've gone into PORTS in WL and
made sure that the box on COM 3 has the 756pro pull down as rig.

On the 756pro
CIV Baud Rate 9600 (Tried AUTO too)
CIV Address is 5ch (default)
CIV Transceive is ON
CIV with IC 731 is ON (tried OFF too)

Something is preventing the rig from "talking" to the computer. Any ideas as
where I should check next?

Wasn't sure whether to post this on ICOM or WRITELOG reflector?.

Thanks
Ken W0LSD
