[ICOM] tuning knob skirt

I don't know if "skirt" is the right name, Gary, but everyone knew what I
was talking about. And thanks to all for their comments and ideas.
The rubber outer sleeve on my tuning knob seems to have elongated or
stretched. When I tried to tape it, the last time, there was a little
bulge that couldn't be eliminated, even when I put a tie wrap on it.
There's nothing wrong with the knob, itself, and it is purely aesthetic
from my point of view. I'd prefer to not have to buy a new knob, of
course, but had hoped that if someone had an old junker of a 761 or 765
around, I could simply get a "used" knob, just for the rubber band that
circles it.
I've got no idea why the one I have would now be larger than it was when I
got the rig but it is!

Is a "skirt" the right name? Might be the parts folks don't understand what
you are asking for. I forget what I used to call them, maybe rubber knob
cover.
Icom used to have them for some of the older radios. Maybe the factory is
not able to buy them as a part only with the entire tuning knob anymore.
